Tree Growers Information Day & Bus Tour

Wednesday August 17, 2016

8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Starts at the Longwoods Conservation Area at 8348 Longwoods Rd near Delaware

8:30 – 8:45 am – registration and coffee

Bus Leaves at 9:00am

Tour Stops:

  • Deciduous woodlot and plantations thinned in 2016 ● Townsend Lumber Mill and BreezeWood flooring ● Tree Farming and Ecotourism at Otter River Farms ● American Chestnut recovery plots on Ron Casier’s property ● Corner’s Corner – an NCC property

 

  • Wear clothing appropriate for walking in woodlots, fields and long grass which may be damp.
  • You will need to bring hearing protection, hardhat and high visibility vest for the sawmill tour.
  • Hardhat and vest are recommended for woodlot tours

 

BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH (soft drinks provided)

(Townsend Lumber will be providing free subway sandwiches at noon)

Registration:

$30 per person until August 12th ($40 after August 12th)

Please make cheques payable to The South West Woodlot Association
