Grab your gardening gloves and a rake!

Second Annual Longwoods ‘Spring Tidy’

Mount Brydges – Grab your gardening gloves and a rake, and head out to Longwoods Road Conservation Area on Sunday, April 30 to help us tidy up the Conservation Area grounds and spaces around Ska-Nah-Doht Village and the Heritage Log Cabins!

The Longwoods ‘Spring Tidy’ runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2023. Help prepare the Heritage Log Cabins for field trip season, pick up litter along a trail, or lend a hand tidying up the recreation Village. We will have some equipment and gloves available. You can stay for the afternoon or stop by for a couple of hours—no need to purchase a Day Use parking pass, we will have them available for those lending a hand.

Do you have a secondary school student looking for volunteer hours? Have them bring along their sign-off sheet when they come to lend a hand and we’ll add a couple of hours to their total!

During the first annual Longwoods ‘Spring Tidy’ we were joined by 20 people, who gave approximately 60 hours of time to help prepare Longwoods Road Conservation Area for spring. Help us outdo those numbers in 2023! Contact [email protected] for more information or to register in advance.

Longwoods Road Conservation Area is located at 8348 Longwoods Road (Middlesex Road 2), Mount Brydges, 6.5 km west of Delaware, or 10 km east of Melbourne. (Half hour west of London and 1 hour east of Chatham)
