The Conservation Authority’s Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses Regulation (152/06) undergoes regular review by staff and when necessary, updates to the Policies are made when errors and/or omission are found. Revisions are undertaken so Conservation Authorities can better serve clients more effectively and address hazard concerns more efficiently in the regulated areas of the LTVCA’s watershed.
The proposed Regulations and Planning Policy update is available for public review Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the LTVCA’s Administration Building in Chatham at 100 Thames Street, or on line at https://www.lowerthames-conservation.on.ca/planning-and-regs/regulations/.
These updates are primarily of an administrative and housekeeping nature, but could include more substantive changes as a result of public consultation and incorporation of recommendations contained within the Elgin County Shoreline Management Plan.
If you or your organization have any comments to make on the proposed update to the policies, please submit them in writing no later than September 30th, 2016 to: Jason Wintermute, LTVCA Water Management Supervisor,100 Thames Street, Chatham, ON N7L 2Y8 E-mail: [email protected]
