Birding at Big “O”: A Family-Friendly Event Celebrating Nature’s Wings
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority invites families and nature enthusiasts to spread their wings and join us for a day of avian wonder at The Big “O” Conservation Area, nestled along Highway 77 just outside of Comber, Ontario. This exciting event promises a delightful blend of entertainment, education, and exploration, all centered on the captivating world of birds.
On May 5, 2024, the festivities will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with the highly anticipated Wild Ontario Bird Show. Prepare to be mesmerized as expert handlers showcase a variety of majestic birds of prey up close, offering insights into their natural behaviors and remarkable adaptations.
Following the bird show, guests are invited to embark on an educational nature walk led by knowledgeable guides. Wander through the scenic beauty of the Big “O” Conservation Area, where you will learn about local flora and fauna.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Children of all ages can immerse themselves in a range of exciting kids’ activities.
