Dust off your shoe box of treasures from the past and bring them out for Artifact Day on Sunday, July 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The staff of Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum will be joined by the members of the Ontario Archaeological Society to help identify your artifacts. Enjoy demonstrations by North American Champion Flint Knappers!
Try your hand at making your own treasure. Get ready to challenge your friends and family at some traditional Native games! Test your skills as a hunter with atlatl target throwing. Park admission is at the Pay and Display machine at the entrance. Coin or credit card only, the rates are $4 per vehicle for 1.5 hours, $8 for 3.0 hours or stay the day for $12.00.
Pack a picnic lunch so you can spend a day in the park with your family and walk through the nature trails. Be sure to stop by the Turtle Trail Gift Shop in the Resource Centre featuring local First Nations crafts and stained glass pieces. For your visiting pleasure, we recommend you consider bringing insect repellent as we are located in a natural woodland setting.
