“Celebrate the Harvest Season at Longwoods and Ska-Nah-Doht Village” Sunday, September 30, 2018

Mount Brydges – Join us for Spirit of the Harvest an event to bring the community together in celebration of the season with music, food and activities – Sunday, September 30th.  This event will feature the natural surroundings of the forest, meadows and marshlands of the park. Ska-Nah-Doht Village will be dressed for the season as well. See the harvest in the longhouses, come sit by the fire and share some tea.

At 1:00, join us on a short trail walk to look for the signs of the season and for traditional medicines. You may want to enter the “Fall Family Relay Race” at 2:00. All day there will be Artists and music at our Centre Stage located at the Heritage Log Cabins.

New this year at 3:00 we welcome musicians of all styles to for the Community Jam! Bring your own instruments and microphones. Toe-tappers and hand-clappers are also welcome!

Pick up your Scavenger Hunt clues at the Resource Centre. Find all 3 stations and win a prize! There will be activities for the young and young-at-heart. We will have wagon rides throughout the day to view the fall colours. North Americas best Flint-knappers will be on site to show off their skills of stone tool making based on traditional methods that have been around for 1,000’s of years!

We will have local craft vendors and there will be food! Tastes of Corn Soup and Fried bread will be on offer. And who can resist a pumpkin patch!!

Admission is $20.00/Family Rate, $8.00/Adults, $4.00/Ages 6-17 and under 6 are free.

Longwoods Road Conservation Area and Ska-Nah-Doht Village are located 6.5 km west of Delaware at 8348 Longwoods Road, Mount Brydges, just 30 minutes west of London, and 1 hour east of Chatham.
