Greg VanEvery – LTVCA’s Environmental Project Coordinator, presented the Greening Award to Brock McGregor, BSc ND, Naturopathic Doctor of McGregor Naturopathic September 14. He is also a Chatham-Kent Councilor. We commend Brock and his staff for a fund raising initiative he took on with his office. Trees for Patients is a program where trees are donated to every patient within a specific time frame. Hopefully this will generate environmental awareness and influence other businesses to take on initiatives like this. The LTVCA applauds these efforts!
In Brock’s words, “Last year, as a way to contribute to Positivity Day in CK we pledged to donate one tree for every patient visit in the month of September to ongoing LTVCA projects. I was pleased to confirm with Greg that we rounded up last September’s 284 visit count to contribute a donation of 300 trees! Patients and staff were excited to be part of initiative to lead to a cleaner, healthier, and greener community. We have decided to make the project an annual event, and will be donating a tree per patient visit for one month following Positivity Day!”
