Battle of Longwoods

Experience history being brought back to life as the Upper Thames Military Re-enactment Society ‘Royal Scots’ present the 28th Annual Longwoods Heritage Days on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6, 2018.  Step back in time to 1814 as British troops attack American invaders.  Hear the crack of the musket and the roar of the cannon.  Come and experience life in the early 19th century.  See the colourful clothing, and smell the food prepared over open fires. Let us entertain your family for the day.  General Admisson  (to be announced)

The Longwoods Heritage Weekend will be held at Longwoods Road Conservation Area, 8348 Longwoods Road (Middlesex Road 2) southwest of Mount Brydges.  The event is 6.5 km west of Delaware and 10 km east of Melbourne. Traveling on Hwy. 402 from London or Sarnia, exit at interchange 86 and follow the signs to Longwoods Road Conservation Area / Ska-Nah-Doht  Village.  From Windsor on Hwy. 401, exit at interchange 157 and travel north to Longwoods Road. Take Longwoods Road east to the Longwoods Road Conservation Area.
