Museum and Village Guided Tour

Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum offers educational and interactive programs to compliment all Native Studies components of the Ontario Curriculum.  

The Museum and Village Guided Tour (Half Day 1.5 – 2.5 hrs.) is an excellent introduction to Ontario history and Haudenosaunee (longhouse) beliefs.  

Stay for a Full Day Program (4-5 hours).  Take the guided tour, bring a lunch then participate in one or two of the exciting workshops offered from pottery to snowshoeing!

Workshops:

  • Pottery (September - December and March - June): All Grades
  • Traditional Games: All Grades
  • Builder, Gatherer, Medicine Walk (September & October and May & June): All Grades
  • Tool Making: Grade 3 and up
  • Hunting Simulation Game: Grade 5 and up
  • Trade Routes Challenge (weather permitting): Grade 5 and up
  • Snowshoeing (January, February & March): Grade 3 and up
