| Ska-Nah-Doht Village &
Museum |
Ska-Nah-Doht is a recreated
longhouse village of 1,000 years ago. Although not built on an actual
site, the village is based on data collected by archaeologists and the
knowledge passed on by the First Nations people.
Ska-Nah-Doht is from the Oneida language which means ‘a village stands
again’.
A walking tour means finding your way through the palisade maze. Explore
a longhouse. Sit for a moment and think about the life of these
First Nations people. Visit the Museum in the Resource Centre. |
