Rondeau Bay Marshes

Rondeau Bay Marshes is a 20 hectare wetland acquired by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority in 1978.

 

Directions

Rondeau Bay Marshes is located in the hamlet of Shrewsbury, in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. From Blenheim take Chatham Street south (County Rd. 3). Cross Talbot Trail (Hwy. 3) and follow Communication Road (County Rd. 11) to Shrewsbury. Turn left onto New Scotland Line and right onto Wellington Street. Follow Wellington Street to the end. Alternatively from New Scotland Line turn right onto Kent Street and follow to the end. Watershed Map

This wetland is open 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. all year, free of charge for fishing and wildfowl viewing.

Natural Features

Rondeau Bay is located along the north shore of Lake Erie. Rondeau Bay Marshes is a Provincially Significant Wetland. This Area of Natural and Scientific Interest Site is located near Rondeau Provincial Park.
